Hi CHiPAs, get ready to go camping!
This year we are staying closer to home, camping at the Avoca Riverside Campground.
This is a great little area right in the former mining town of Avoca on the banks of the Avoca River.
There are old buildings, monuments and lovely Chinese Gardens beside the campground which should inspire a few photographs.
The Pyrenees State Forest and Governor Rock Lookout are a short drive away.
This weekend also coincides with Clunes Booktown weekend which is only a 30 minute drive away if you feel like a day out.
The campground is pet friendly (on lead) and has flushing toilets a short walk away under the bridge.
Be sure to bring your camera, tripod, shutter release control, spare batteries (fully charged – there there is no power), plenty of memory cards and your enthusiasm.
We look forward to seeing you there.
